Lady Bugs!

DID YOU KNOW:

There are nearly 5000 types of lady bugs world wide!
That 400 of those live in North America!
The female lady bug us larger than the male!
A female ladybug lays more than 1000 eggs in her lifetime!
The life cycle of a lady bug is 4 to 6 weeks!
Most lady bugs are red with black spots, but SOME are black with red spots!
Some ladybugs have NO spots at all!
The spots on a lady bug fade as they get older!

In Miss Amy's class we learned all about ladybugs!  Most about color, and shape, and how cute they are!  We even made our very own lady bugs too!

The kids cut out the shapes, and colored the dots, and added the eyes, and made it all their own!

They even made a SECOND lady bug as well!  And this time they ate it!

We sure had fun learning about ladybugs this week!
