Frog Week

                    This week we are learning all about frogs!

We learn that frogs start as tadpoles, we learn how they grow and what they eat, we do frog crafts and play with toy frogs in a big toy pond! We even met a "frog" that read us a story, told some jokes, and sang us a song!

Here are some of the books we will be using this week!!

We sang:

Birthday Surprise!

                                     

                                *BIRTHDAY SURPRISE!!!*

                           

 On Friday morning the kids all posed for a picture holding a banner that read "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" Than they used the photo to make a giant Birthday card. When Pastor Bert was in his office quietly preparing for his sermon.... out of no where the kids mischievously knock on his door with balloons, a card and a cake!!! Than they all sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR PASTOR BERT!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!! Pastor Bert was a little down about turning 50, but this made turning 50 for Pastor Bert a little bit easier ;) 

  After all the Birthday fun and everyone started to settle down... Pastor Bert came into the classroom and read the kids a story! They all have a lot of fun when Pastor Bert comes and reads us stories! He does a great job getting the kids excited about the story. . all the kids remained glued on the story and were quick to answer questions that he would ask!

Little Campers

                                        .::Camping::.

                        We have been camping in Ms. Barb's classroom the last couple of days!
Yep, thats right, you heard me correctly.... CAMPING! There is a tent and a "campfire" in the classroom. All of our little campers have been "roasting" marshmallows, singing songs 'round the   "campfire" and eating smores!!  It has been a pretty exciting time!

                                   These boys are really toughin' it here out in the "wilderness"

                                        Ooooo there is some creepy crawlers in our tent!!

 

                                          Butterfly fun!

How fun... one of the girls's mom brought in butterflies that were in cocoons!! The little campers got to see one butterfly come out of its cocoon! Take a peek!!

                            We painted pin cones and added some glitter to spruce it up!
